Connect Okuma OSP-P300 / P300A / P500

Okuma states that any machine with an OSP-P control is MTConnect-ready and offers a free MTConnect Agent and Adapter on MyOkuma. On OSP-P300 the MTConnect app is installed from the THINC App Store. The THINC API, free of charge, gives read and write access to over 6,000 data points (Okuma P300 white paper). We found no Okuma page documenting an OPC UA server on P300A or P500; one third-party article claims OPC UA on port 4840 on P500M/P700A.

Questions engineers ask

Does Okuma OSP-P300 support OPC UA?

Okuma's pages document MTConnect and the THINC API, not an OPC UA server. Use the free MTConnect agent, or a gateway that serves OPC UA from MTConnect or THINC.
